Maine is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the United States. Which is why we traveled to Acadia National Park, to experience these glacier-swept coastlines firsthand.
The culture here is so deeply intertwined with lobster.
Everywhere you look you see the lobster traps out at sea, lobster boats in the harbors, and fresh lobster being sold in nearly every restaurant. It’s crucial to the economy, history, and future of Maine.
But lobster fishing has a profound effect on the Critically Endangered North Atlantic Right Whale that passes through Maine’s coastal seas each year. And the future of these great animals, and of lobster fishing in Maine lies in how we work together to solve this problem.
