This Saturday, September 15th is International Coastal Cleanup Day.
Beach cleanups aren’t a solution to the epidemic problem of litter on our world’s beaches, but they do make a strong statement: that we need to stop marine pollution at its source.
This year, we urge everyone around the world to take part and participate in a cleanup themselves. Whether it’s an organized beach cleanup, a beach cleanup with friends, or just a casual stroll down the beach – everything helps.
We ask that you send any video, images, or interviews from your beach cleanups to [email protected] so that TerraMar can help to amplify your message that pollution on our beaches needs to end.
This year, we are specifically highlighting the problem of cigarette butt littering on coasts around the world through our #NoMoreButts campaign. Help us fight this problem by recycling the cigarette butts you find during your beach cleanups:
TerraMar will be hosting our International Coastal Cleanup in Long Beach, NY this year – so if you are in the area come by and meet the team!
