Do you live near Tampa, Florida and would like to volunteer at a beach cleanup for a great cause? Start this New Year’s off right by giving back to our Planet!
Check out Sea Going Green’s Clear Water Beach Cleanup!
Where? Clearwater Beach, Florida – Pier 60.
When? 11:00 am
What to bring? Just yourself and a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated. Reef-safe sunscreen will be provided by Stream 2 Sea
Goal: Join together to clean marine debris from our local beach. Not only are you helping to remove plastic pollution, fishing gears, and other waste that’s harmful to marine life and people – but you’re sending a message that this needs to stop at its source! Sea Going Green has teamed up with The TerraMar Project’s #NoMoreButts campaign to put an end to cigarette butt littering on our coastlines. Cigarette butts are a form of plastic pollution that can actually be recycled, but instead people litter 2.3 million every single minute. So at this event, Sea Going Green volunteers will be helping to recycle all of the waste collected – including plastic cigarette butts.
