Barbados is a beautiful coral island in the Caribbean, where the people and lifestyle are so connected with the marine environment. From seafood to surfing and scuba diving, healthy coral reefs are vital to the people here.
Unfortunately, Barbados’ marine environment is currently threatened by overfishing, climate change, pollution, and invasive species. In order to sustain this island’s life force (coral), it’s crucial that locals and visitors alike support sustainable seafood.
Slow Fish Barbados has provided TerraMar with these guidelines for choosing sustainable seafood.
Our choices matter, and by choosing to purchase sustainably-caught fish you can support fisherfolk and healthy coral reefs for generations to come.
